How i found out about Rayman:Origins?

Hey guys, Joe here to give you my thoughts on “Rayman:Origins”.
I was interested in this game when i first saw it watching E3, yes i am a big fan of E3 and watch mostly all of them most of the time, i especially watched the 2011 E3 though for the upcoming games such as GTA V in which we never saw, but we all know that, that game is coming soon and will be looked at, but basically i have mentioned all this because, this is how i first found out about the game coming out and was anticipating to play it ever since E3.

How is Rayman:Origins different from the rest?

Well basically this game has everything ticked, i was very addicted to the game, much more addicted than any other Rayman game that is. In fact, to be honest with you i only played a bit of the first Rayman and some of the Anniversary edition, though i really couldn’t get into the games at all.
Now looking at Rayman:Origins, you may think, lol kids game, too easy, bin it.
Well no your wrong, the game is pretty challenging at times and is aimed at many ages.
Rayman: Origins was based on a Side Scroll type of game and it works very well, the graphics are really nicely done and by far unique to many other Rayman games made!
I must warn you guys though that i was playing this on a WII emulator, emulating the game due to it not being released on PC just yet, but Anti-aliasing can be forced and looks just as good as it would as a PC version.

My Thoughts on Rayman:Origins

The game as a whole is very unique as mentioned already and i have enjoyed every moment of it, especially with so many things you can do within each level of the game. As you can see, in the image above there is a bubble with spikey bubble fish protecting it, inside that blue bubble is a cage in which holds loads of little creatures you have to free, once freed and collected, they are added to your score. You can also find different routes within the level, to complete that level quicker, these are hidden pretty well but in some cases are very obvious, i myself found a few and was chuffed when it took me directly to the ending whereas it would have taken me another good 5-10 minutes to complete it.

There are many different chapters throughout the game and they are set out beautifully, the main thing about this game is enjoyment and things to do, which this game has plenty of.
The visuals, game-play and characters are all humorous and attractive, funny looking and so well done.

Another thing i want to mention is the characters, as funny as they look, they are all very cool but basically all do the same things. There are 3 main playable characters and they are Rayman, Globox and Teensies.

I really did enjoy a game in which i had no intention of playing (Before E3 that is) and glad i spent time beating it, but took a week or so meaning there is a good bit of game-play in there to get your gaming hands on!
The menus within the game are very easy to navigate and the loading screens are interactive, what more could you want from a game that’s gone from good, to better?. We all know that not many games can achieve that anymore.

The Good

– Really nice Graphics
– Very entertaining
– Awesome Co-op game play
– Fun for all ages

The Bad

– Some people may think it’s to “Babyish”
– People complain it’s a side scroll game and not 3D!
– Some levels are extremely easy
