So it’s that time to look back on games which were pretty good at the time, for consoles that is…
Most of us didn’t really get the chance to play Crysis 1 due to it being such a hardware intensive game, making it very expensive to run, but computers these days can run it low/med/high or even ultra without a problem, which is pretty awesome!

Now here comes my review on Crysis 2 and why i think the game (From what i have played so far) is not bad at all and a very good game to start off from if wanting to play the Crysis franchise.

Introduction to Crysis 1/2

Basically, Crysis 2 was nothing alike Crysis 1 at all, looking at the two you can tell as Crysis 1 was set in a jungle whereas number 2 was in the alien invaded city, which i thought was a great idea.
There are many problems with number 2 but most of them have been addressed and seen to, the main package not long released was the Ultra HD Pack which can be downloaded for free to upgrade the graphics in Crysis 2 actually making it look rather nice, in fact you could state most things look so sharp and very well done, they look near realistic.
But still something is lacking and something doesn’t allow the game to live up to what Crysis 1 was all about. The main reason why most people actually bought Crysis 1 in the first place was to (Lets face it) see if they could run it on their machines and if not would be really pissed, but as i said nowadays that isn’t the case, people that completed number 2 on the console will go back and checkout number 1 which i highly recommend doing as it is now possible to get Crysis 1 for xbox360, but this will not be anything like the PC version when it comes to looks, it will most probably look a mess.

My thoughts on Crysis 2

When i think of Crysis, i think visuals, game-play and awesome weapons, most of which Crysis 2 has and as a player of the game i really enjoyed it. The game is full of excitement and epic moments, fighting off aliens is pretty awesome and better yet killing the army with a shotgun to their head without them knowing by putting the invisibility cloak on is as fun as anything, BOOM BITCH!
I adore how Crysis has evolved from Crysis 1 to Crysis 2 in game-play a lot, when killing people in Crysis 2 there is a much more satisfactory feeling to it, probably because the animations are much more evolved.
The only thing that bothered a few people were the big weapons and the reason for this is simply because the game is a port from the xbox360. I hate to say it but it was a pretty good port overall and the reason why i say “I hate to say it” is because mostly all ports are complete crap, but Crysis 2 turned out to be pretty good.

I found that when playing through Crysis 2 it was more “Intelligent” you could say. What i mean by this is when moving around hiding behind objects to sneak upon a guard in Crysis 1 they would near enough all the time hear you and giveaway your position completely pounding bullets at you until you die, but in Crysis 2 hiding behind objects is a MUST as it can be extremely difficult when facing the AI head on, though to be honest in Crysis 1, the AI was pretty poor compared to Crysis 2 (Artificial intelligence).

In Crysis 2 there is a few new features to when in combat, such as the jump and grab feature, when jumping you can grab onto other objects and climb up it and the slide feature, sliding under objects to make a quick escape or simply sliding into an enemy knocking them over, then getting up and smash their head in with your oh so mighty fists!

Overall Crysis 2 looks amazing, the game-play and storyline is epic (As in it will keep you wanting to play or go back to it) and the features within the game are excellent.
